Below you will find a list of the various training programs run within District 201v5 along with a short synopsis of each session.
Club Development days
This program is for both incoming officers and any club members who want to find out more about the roles and responsibilities of Club Officers. It will also include sessions on managing effective meetings, using MyLCI Website and communication skills.
In 2016 each day will involve role-based training sessions in the morning with special interest forums in the afternoon – all Lions can attend the full day regardless of holding positions or not. In particular we’d like to encourage any new members to come along and learn more about Lions and what future opportunities may be available to them.
Lions, as with any other organisation, are subject to change, and new procedures and systems that affect the various roles within Lions are being introduced all the time and this is a great opportunity for all Lions to catch up with these advances.
Incoming club officers are provided each year with training sessions for their positions by District 201V5 – tailored for Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers, Membership Chairmen and New Members – and this year, following on the success of 2015, we are continuing to open up these sessions to anyone interested in those areas. You do not have to be an office holder.
Forums will include such topics as: Applying for grants, Talking Your Passion, How to interact with your local community and Planning a Project. These forums will be run concurrently in the afternoon which will give everyone a chance to attend the topic of their choice.
There are 2 training dates scheduled for people to choose from – just nominate your choice.
Each attendee needs to have booked and prepaid before RSVP closure to assist with planning of materials and catering. There will be additional charges for any late applications.

Lions have the tools and the people to help us fulfil roles that we never thought we would be doing – either within Lions or in your private/work life. Leadership roles, projects, public speaking, administration or hands on work. This is a special invitation to some of the best personal development sessions around and numbers are limited so register early to secure a spot.
This fantastic development opportunity will be spread over two consecutive days, over one weekend - the sessions are free but there is a small catering fee payable.

It is a program which also seeks to enable you to take a lot of the stress out of public speaking.
